HC-One Limited is seeking a Kitchen Assistant in Lincoln to help prepare and serve nutritious meals with warmth and respect for Residents. The role involves maintaining kitchen hygiene, recording temperatures, and supporting stock rotation, with shifts pattern across 7 days and a commitment to safeguarding residents.

We expect some kitchen experience and a willingness to work towards NVQ2 in Catering or Food Preparation.

Qualifications

• Some kitchen experience is required.
• Willingness to work towards NVQ2 in Catering or Food Preparation.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail are essential.
• Ability to follow recipes and record information accurately.
• Patience, respect and kindness in all interactions.

Responsibilities

• Assist with meal preparation under the direction of the Chef or Cook.
• Serve meals with warmth and respect in a timely manner.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and hygiene of equipment and surfaces.
• Monitor and record food storage temperatures.
• Support stock rotation and proper storage of ingredients.
• Train new team members on safe kitchen equipment use.
• Wash up and keep the kitchen clean after busy periods.
