Job summary

HC-One Limited in the United Kingdom is recruiting a part-time Kitchen Assistant working 18 hours per week. You will support high-quality care through meals, preparing and serving nutritious dishes with warmth and respect, while upholding hygiene and safety standards for Residents in our Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist homes.

You will have kitchen experience and be willing to work towards NVQ2 in Catering or Food Preparation.

Qualifications

• Kitchen experience and a genuine passion for helping others.
• Must have or be willing to work towards NVQ2 in Catering or Food Preparation.
• Strong organisation, attention to detail and ability to follow recipes.

Responsibilities

• Assist with meal preparation under supervision of the Chef or Cook.
• Serve meals warmly and promptly.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and hygiene of equipment and surfaces.
• Monitor and record food storage temperatures.
• Support stock rotation and proper ingredient storage.
• Show new team members how to safely use kitchen equipment.
• Wash up and keep the kitchen spotless, even after rushes.
