Job summary

ExtraCare Charitable Trust is hiring a part-time Housing Support Assistant at Hagley Road Retirement Village, Birmingham. The role supports older residents, with 12 hours per week on a 4-day pattern; weekend work required on a rotating basis. Salary is £13.83 per hour, pro rata of a full-time equivalent.

We value experience in housing or related support services, strong admin skills, and a compassionate, proactive approach to resident wellbeing. Sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• Experience in housing-related or support services is preferred.
• Engaging, positive personality with empathy.
• Excellent customer service and ability to build relationships.

Responsibilities

• Show potential residents around the Village and apartments.
• Help residents settle into their new home.
• Respond to tenancy or lease issues.
• Monitor residents' wellbeing daily.
• Support residents to thrive in a retirement setting.
• Carry out resident visits and attend community meetings.
• Collaborate with other teams to meet resident needs.
