Job summary

ExtraCare Charitable Trust in Birmingham is looking for a part-time Housing Support Assistant to join our friendly team at Longbridge Retirement Village. This permanent role offers 16 hours per week and involves assisting residents to settle in, monitoring wellbeing and addressing tenancy issues.

You will engage with residents, work collaboratively with other teams, and help create a supportive retirement community with a focus on independent living and high-quality customer care.

Qualifications

• Experience in housing-related or support services.
• Excellent customer service.
• Engaging, positive personality.
• Empathetic and able to build relationships with residents.
• Ability to work under pressure and prioritise work.

Responsibilities

• Show potential residents around the village and apartments.
• Help residents settle into their new home.
• Respond to tenancy or lease issues that may arise.
• Monitor residents' wellbeing daily.
• Ensure residents thrive within a retirement setting.
• Carry out resident visits and attend community meetings.
• Work collaboratively with other teams to meet resident needs.
