Job summary

National Trust is seeking a Holidays Assistant Manager to ensure guests have high-standard holidays across Trust sites. You will handle inquiries, follow procedures, and collaborate with local teams and Contact Centre to maintain consistency and service levels.

You may work at a desk or visit holiday cottages and sites, including remote locations. Weekend work is possible; you will oversee compliance and supervise caretakers with training and induction responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Experience in running or supporting a holiday/business operation.
• Strong interpersonal skills with guests and colleagues.
• Ability to supervise and develop a team.
• Comfort with basic office software (MS Office).
• Familiar with health and safety procedures and risk assessments.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent service to guests staying at National Trust sites.
• Answer questions, follow procedures, and coordinate with local teams and Contact Centre.
• Occasionally work at a desk and visit holiday cottages or sites; some remote locations.
• Lead and coach caretakers; coordinate rotas, changeovers and stock control.
• Assist with recruitment, induction, and training of new staff.
• Respond to incidents and manage tasks to keep standards high and guests happy.
