Job summary

Priory Group’s Chelmsford Eating Disorders Ward seeks a Registered Psychologist to provide specialist assessments and evidence-based interventions for patients with eating disorders. You will develop personalised treatment plans, delivering CBT and other therapeutic approaches, while working closely with psychiatrists, nurses, dietitians and therapists within the MDT.

You will assess risk, monitor progress, and contribute to care planning, reviews and family support.

Qualifications

• Essential: HCPC registration and a recognised postgraduate qualification in Clinical Psychology.
• Experience delivering specialist psychological assessments and evidence-based interventions for eating disorders.
• Ability to assess and manage clinical risk and work with complex mental health needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist psychological assessments for patients with eating disorders.
• Develop and deliver individualised treatment plans and evidence-based interventions.
• Deliver individual and group CBT and other therapeutic modalities.
• Collaborate with the MDT to support patient care, reviews and risk assessments.
• Offer psychological guidance to families and carers where appropriate.
• Contribute to governance, service development, and maintaining high standards of care.
