Job summary

Priory Chelmsford is seeking a Registered Practitioner Psychologist (HCPC) to join the Eating Disorder Ward on a part‑time basis (30 hours/week). You will assess and tailor treatment plans, deliver evidence‑based interventions (e.g., CBT) and collaborate with a MDT to support recovery, risk assessment and care planning.

You will work in Essex, with a focus on dignity and high standards of patient care, and benefit from ongoing professional development and DBS support.

Qualifications

• HCPC registration as a Practitioner Psychologist.
• Postgraduate qualification in Clinical Psychology.
• Experience with eating disorders and specialised assessments.
• Ability to develop personalised treatment plans and deliver interventions.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist psychological assessments and interventions for eating disorders.
• Develop and deliver individualised treatment plans.
• Work with the MDT including psychiatrists, nurses, dietitians and therapists.
• Support patients with complex mental health needs and co-existing conditions.
• Deliver individual and group therapy sessions (e.g., CBT).
• Monitor progress, contribute to reviews and risk assessments.
• Provide psychological guidance to families and carers.
• Contribute to clinical governance and service development.
