Job summary

Priory is seeking a Registered Practitioner Psychologist (HCPC) to join the Eating Disorder Ward at Priory Hospital Chelmsford. You will assess and deliver tailored, evidence-based psychological interventions for patients with eating disorders, while maintaining high standards of care within a multidisciplinary team.

The role requires experience with anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa and binge eating disorder, and the ability to lead treatment planning, risk assessment and family support where

Qualifications

• Registered Practitioner Psychologist with HCPC registration.
• Experience with eating disorders and specialist psychological interventions.
• Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team and manage risk.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist psychological assessments and interventions for eating disorders.
• Develop and deliver individualised treatment plans for patients.
• Deliver individual and group therapy sessions (CBT and other models).
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, nurses, dietitians and therapists in MDT.
• Monitor progress, contribute to reviews and care planning.
• Support families and carers where appropriate.
• Contribute to clinical governance and service development.
