Broadoak Academy in Weston-super-Mare, part of the CLF trust, seeks a permanent part-time Design and Technology teacher (19.5 hours/week) to deliver a broad DT curriculum, including workshops and textiles, with technician support. The start is provisionally January 2027, subject to checks.

You will plan sequences, assess progress, differentiate for all learners, and contribute to enrichment and curriculum development across the trust. Commitment to professional development is expected.

Qualifications

• Qualified teacher or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Strong subject knowledge in Design and Technology.
• Experience delivering Design and Technology lessons.

Responsabilités

• Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured Design and Technology lessons.
• Teach a broad, ambitious DT curriculum that builds practical and technical skills.
• Plan sequences of learning that build on prior knowledge and secure good progress for all pupils.
• Use assessment to inform teaching.
• Differentiate teaching for all learners, including pupil premium, looked after, SEND and high attaining pupils.
• Set high behaviour expectations and maintain a safe, stimulating learning environment.
• Build positive relationships with students, staff and parents.
• Contribute to the design and delivery of the trust curriculum.
• Support pupils' resilience and confidence within and beyond the classroom.
• Contribute to enrichment opportunities beyond the classroom.
