Job summary

TeacherActive Limited. is recruiting a part-time DT Technician in Birmingham. You will support practical Design and Technology lessons across textiles, graphics and resistant materials, helping set up workshops and prepare resources for students.

Job Title: DT Technician

Location: Birmingham

Start Date: ASAP

Salary: £110 - £130 per day

The school is looking to take on a DT Technician on a part‑time basis, working three days per week from Tuesday to Thursday. The successful DT Technician will support teachers across textiles, graphics and resistant materials during practical lessons, as well as preparing resources and setting up workshops ready for students.

The successful DT Technician will have:

• Experience working within Design and Technology or a practical workshop environment
• Experience supporting textiles, graphics and/or resistant materials
• Confidence supporting teachers and students during practical lessons
• An understanding of maintaining a safe and organised workshop environment
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• A positive and proactive approach to supporting students and staff
