Job summary

Age UK is recruiting a Shop Supervisor for our Penwortham shop to deliver an excellent retail service and a great shopping experience for customers. You will help maximise shop sales and profits, and you may deputise for the Shop Manager in their absence.

The role supports sales, stock rotation, displays and shop tidying, while representing Age UK professionally and reflecting our core values. The position requires 14 hours across a 7-day week, including weekends.

Qualifications

• Experience in a customer-facing role.
• Experience of cash handling.
• Ability to work as part of an effective team.
• Be able to lone work when needed.
• Ability to fulfil the stock-handling requirements of the role, including moving items weighing up to 10kg.
• Commitment to promoting equality, diversity and inclusion, and treating colleagues and customers with dignity, fairness and respect.

Responsibilities

• Support with sales, stock rotation, organising displays, shop tidying and much more.
• Deputise for the Shop Manager and Assistant Manager in their absence and contribute to the day-to-day running of the shop.
