Job summary

Age UK is recruiting for a Sunday Shop Supervisor in our Penwortham store. This role oversees Sunday operations, manages stock, displays goods, and promotes Gift Aid while delivering excellent customer service.

You will work 6 hours every Sunday in a busy community shop that funds vital support for older people across the UK. The position requires the ability to work as part of a team and, at times, lone-working.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills are required (A, I).
• Literacy and numeracy skills (A, I).
• Experience of cash handling (A, I).
• Ability to work efficiently as part of a busy team (A, I).
• Ability to lone work when needed (I).
• Ability to fulfil stock-handling requirements, including moving items up to 10kg (I).

Responsibilities

• Provide a quality retail service and run our busy shop on Sundays.
• Manage stock, display goods and maintain shop appearance.
• Maximise sales and promote Gift Aid to customers.
• Work 6 hours every Sunday and be flexible for trading outside hours when required.
