Job summary

Age UK in Pickering, North Yorkshire, is seeking a Shop Supervisor to lead our charity shop team and deliver a welcoming, high-quality shopping experience for customers, while helping maximise income to support older people.

The role is 13 hours per week, including Sundays, with responsibilities for cash handling, stock rotation, displays, keeping the shop tidy, and deputising for the Shop Manager in their absence.

Qualifications

• Experience in a customer facing role.
• Experience of cash handling.
• Ability to work as part of an effective team.
• Ability to lone work when needed.
• Able to move items weighing up to 10kg with reasonable adjustments.

Responsibilities

• Deliver an excellent retail service and ensure customers have a great shopping experience.
• Assist in maximizing shop sales and profits and support day-to-day shop operations.
• Deputise for the Shop Manager and Assistant Manager in their absence.
• Support with sales, stock rotation, organising displays, and maintaining a tidy shop.
