Job summary

JLL is seeking a part-time Facilities Manager for Northfield Shopping Centre in Birmingham. The role focuses on advancing asset management, delivering high standards of onsite management for retailers and customers, and shaping the centre's future in a safe, desirable environment.

You will lead the Centre Management team, collaborate on marketing strategy delivery, and build strong relationships with retailers. The post also covers reporting, surveys, and health and safety responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Relevant management experience in a high-profile shopping centre.
• Strong retail background with understanding of retailers' challenges.
• Broad knowledge of current retail market trends and centre challenges.
• Proven track record in managing onsite/in-house management teams.
• Experience managing major CAPEX and service charge projects.
• Technical competence at degree or diploma level.
• Ability to support change initiatives and allocate resources efficiently.
• Understanding of financial management, P&L, and IT skills.
• Ability to communicate at boardroom level and influence decisions.

Responsibilities

• Improve the quality of the retail environment at the Centre.
• Lead, develop and inspire the Centre Management team.
• Collaborate with landlord's marketing consultant on strategy delivery.
• Build and maintain relationships with retailers.
• Report on retailer performance and turnover within the Centre.
• Undertake annual Tenant/Occupier surveys.
• Represent the Centre at local industry meetings and BID meetings.
• Drive income via commercialisation activities and car park optimisation.
• Develop and refine business plans for sustainable results.
• Annual business planning and quarterly performance reporting.
• Review cost control opportunities and efficiencies.
• Manage contractor/supplier relationships and key staff.
• Overall responsibility for Health & Safety and Environmental Management.
