Job summary

North Kent Colleges Group is seeking a proactive Technician (Catering) at Tonbridge campus to provide hands-on technical and operational support in our busy catering facilities, assisting lecturers and maintaining the training kitchens and The View Restaurant.

The role involves stock control, health and safety compliance, liaising with contractors, and helping with practical sessions while upholding HACCP standards in a student-focused learning environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 2 Hospitality qualification and Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering.
• Experience in a customer-focused environment is desirable.
• Good knowledge of stock control and ordering systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and operational support across the Catering provision.
• Assist lecturers with practical sessions and prepare kitchens and The View Restaurant.
• Manage food, equipment and resources, and support stock control and deliveries.
• Assist with health and safety inspections and asset management.
