Nationwide's Preston branch is seeking a Customer Consultant to welcome customers in person and by phone, guiding them through everyday banking and digital tools. The role is part-time in Preston, with a 26-hour week and pro rata salary.

You don't need banking experience; a customer service background and a calm, friendly approach will help you thrive. You will work with colleagues to deliver great service across branch and digital channels.

Responsibilities

Welcome customers into the branch and understand their needs to provide friendly help with banking.
Handle transactions and queries accurately while prioritising security and fairness.
Help customers get the most from digital services and self‑service options.
Guide customers through suitable banking products and services to manage money confidently.
Collaborate with branch colleagues to deliver excellent customer service, even at peak times.
Follow processes, spot issues, and escalate concerns to protect customers.
