Job summary

Nationwide is hiring a Customer Representative to join our branch team in the United Kingdom. You will help customers in person, on the phone and online, guiding them through everyday banking tasks and using digital tools to manage their money confidently.

No banking experience required; however, a passion for customer service and the ability to stay calm under pressure will help you thrive. This 12-month fixed-term role is part-time (17.5 hours per week) with pro-rated pay and strong benefits.

• Experience in customer service environment is helpful

• You communicate clearly and are comfortable using technology

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers into the branch and understand their needs to offer trusted help
• Handle a range of transactions and queries accurately with security and fairness in mind
• Guide customers through banking products and services to manage their money confidently
• Work closely with colleagues to deliver excellent customer service during peak times
• Follow processes and escalate issues to protect customers and Nationwide
• Keep face-to-face banking meaningful and accessible on the high street
