Job summary

Nuffield Health Hereford Hospital is seeking a Patient Services Administrator (Bank) to support administration in the Hereford site. The role involves processing a high volume of email requests for referrals and appointments, and delivering a friendly, efficient service at reception and on the switchboard.

The ideal candidate will have an NVQ Level 2 in Business and Administration (or equivalent) and experience in a customer‑facing environment to help us maintain excellent patient experiences

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Business and Administration or equivalent preferred.
• Experience working in a customer facing environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly and efficient reception service, handling face-to-face and telephone contact.
• Operate a complex switchboard following procedures.
• Handle queries within role remit and escalate to senior staff as needed.
• Admit patients and book or amend straightforward appointments.
• Take payments from patients and reconcile daily takings.
• Coordinate room and consultant availability and manage clinic/theatre scheduling.
