Job description

Walton Medical Centre located in Walton on the Naze, are looking to recruit an experienced prescribing paramedic to deliver outstanding patient care on a part-time basis for 16+ hours per week. Primary care experience is essential so only apply if you have this. Non prescribers will also be considered.

As a vital part of our multidisciplinary team, you will have the opportunity to support and care for a diverse patient group.

Main duties of the job

• Home visits and care home visits
• Initiating direct referrals as appropriate.
• Minor illness clinics
• If an independent prescriber: prescribing safe, effective and appropriate medication as defined by current legislative framework.

Person Specification

Experience

• Experience of working within primary care
• Be able to demonstrate continued professional development and professionalism
• Experience of providing multi-skilled healthcare and clinical treatment and be able to work with patients and members of the public
• Experience of working on clinical systems and be able to enter and use patient date efficiently, whilst maintaining confidentiality at all times
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills and be able to liaise and communicate with clinical and administrative staff within the practice and partnership

Qualifications

• HCPC registered paramedic
• Level 7 qualification in Clinical Assessment
