Job summary

Ashford and St Peter's Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in Chertsey is hiring an ED Paediatric Receptionist/Administrator (08-20, 37.5 hours) at Band 3. You will be the first point of contact for children and families, delivering a welcoming, efficient reception and accurate data capture on Cerner.

You will manage registrations, coordinate with clinical teams, arrange transport and follow-up appointments, and help the department meet waiting-time targets.

Qualifications

• Cerner experience or equivalent is required.
• NVQ L3 or Business Administration qualification is desired.
• Experience in a busy Emergency Department setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and register them on Cerner and Trust systems.
• Provide a professional reception service to patients and relatives.
• Manage telephone queries and direct enquiries appropriately.
• Book follow-up appointments and arrange patient transport where required.
• Support department in meeting waiting-time targets and provide admin support.
