Job summary

The Bristol NHS Foundation Trust is hiring a Receptionist/Clerical Officer for the Children's ED at Bristol Royal Hospital. This Band 2, part-time role (33 hours per week, 24/7 roster) involves greeting patients, registering them on Careflow EPR, and coordinating with clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow.

You will work evenings, nights, weekends and bank holidays on a 24/7 roster, with a focus on high-quality patient care and excellent telephone/service levels.

Qualifications

• Educated to GCSE grade C or above (or equivalent) in English Language and Maths.
• ICT qualification (e.g. EDCL) including Microsoft Packages.
• Previous receptionist experience in a healthcare setting.
• Previous NHS experience.

Responsibilities

• To register patients on the Careflow EPR clinical system
• Updating patients demographic details when required.
• Issue Cas Cards for the Clinical staff for triaging patients
• Answer reception telephone and deal with any queries
• With discharged paperwork send out discharge letters to GP and Health Visitors.
• Prep notes for scanning
• Scan notes, upload to clinical system and quality check
• Book appointments for plastics clinic and Consultant review clinics.
