Job summary

WR Engineering seeks an experienced Business Development Manager for packaging solutions across the UK, with a focus on cartons and folding cartons. You will hunt for new business, build relationships with procurement and senior decision-makers, and lead the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing.

You will target cosmetics, beverages and pharmaceutical sectors, negotiating profitable packaging solutions and building a robust pipeline. A driving licence and nationwide travel are expected.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in cartons and folding cartons.
• Strong track record of new business development and acquiring accounts.
• Experience selling into cosmetics, drinks/beverages and/or pharmaceutical markets.
• Excellent understanding of B2B packaging sales and commercial negotiations.
• Experience managing a 360° sales cycle.
• Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Commercially driven, proactive and target-focused.
• Ability to build relationships at all levels, from operators to senior management.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationwide.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities across the UK.
• Target and win new customers within cartons/folding cartons.
• Develop strong relationships with procurement, commercial, technical and senior decision-makers.
• Manage the full 360° sales process from prospecting through to negotiation and account development.
• Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline and consistently deliver against revenue targets.
• Develop opportunities within cosmetics, drinks and pharmaceutical sectors.
• Understand customer packaging requirements and work with internal teams to develop solutions.
• Prepare quotations, proposals and commercial presentations.
• Negotiate pricing and commercial agreements to maximise profitable growth.
• Attend customer meetings, exhibitions and industry events.
• Maintain accurate CRM records and provide regular sales forecasts.
