Job summary

WR Engineering is recruiting a commercially driven Business Development Manager to accelerate growth across the UK in cartons and folding cartons, offering packaging solutions that meet demanding customer needs.

You will hunt for new business, develop relationships with procurement, commercial, technical and senior decision-makers, and manage the full 360° sales cycle from prospecting to negotiation and account development.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in cartons, folding cartons or packaging.
• Strong track record in new business development and acquiring accounts.
• Experience selling to cosmetics, drinks/beverages and pharma.
• Excellent understanding of B2B packaging sales and negotiations.
• Experience managing a 360° sales cycle.
• Strong communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
• Commercially driven, proactive and target-focused.
• Ability to build relationships at all levels.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationally.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities across the UK.
• Target and win new customers within the cartons/folding cartons market.
• Develop strong relationships with procurement, commercial, technical and senior decision-makers.
• Manage the full 360° sales process, from prospecting through to negotiation and account development.
• Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline and consistently deliver against revenue targets.
• Develop opportunities within the cosmetics, drinks and pharmaceutical sectors.
• Understand customer packaging requirements and work with internal teams to develop appropriate solutions.
• Prepare quotations, proposals and commercial presentations.
• Negotiate pricing and commercial agreements to maximise profitable growth.
• Attend customer meetings, exhibitions and industry events.
• Maintain accurate CRM records and provide regular sales forecasts.
