A leading literary agency in London seeks an Assistant to the CEO and Literary Agent. The successful candidate will support the CEO's business and personal needs in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating exceptional organisational skills. This role requires an experienced Personal Assistant with strong communication abilities and a meticulous approach to tasks. Flexibility and discretion are essential in a dynamic setting where out-of-hours support may be required.
The role is to support the CEO in one of the leading literary agencies in London, providing specialist expertise to its clients in all aspects of publishing. We are looking for an Executive Personal Assistant to the CEO and Literary Agent who will work alongside a Senior Assistant, assisting in all business and personal affairs. The Principal is also a Trustee of many high‑profile institutions in the UK. The principal will consider one day work from home in the future or around her travel agendas.
You will be an experienced EPA who is highly enthusiastic, proactive and resourceful to aid the running of a busy office. The ideal candidate will have exceptional organisational and administrative skills and be able to manage both professional and personal schedules.
Efficiency, flexibility and the ability to multi‑task are essential skills. We are looking for someone who will be able to meet a challenge with confidence and initiative and who thrives in a busy, fast‑paced environment while paying great attention to detail.
A full‑hearted approach to any task is vital as well as acknowledging the importance of discretion, confidentiality, and diplomacy. We are seeking someone who has excellent listening skills and a brilliant memory.
An exceptional flair for verbal and written communication, superb social skills and a strong telephone manner are essential. Some knowledge or experience of the publishing industry is preferable, but not essential. Key to this role is quick and accurate response and the ability to work at a pace, keeping a track of all important matters and updating/reminding the principal regularly.
The role involves working five days a week in our Central London office, with some out of hours required – for example, managing last‑minute changes to international meetings.
