Job summary

Focal Systems is seeking a Field Service Technician to install and deploy its retail AI hardware across Belfast and Northern Ireland. The role involves overnight work, visiting customer sites, and ensuring installations meet quality and speed KPIs.

You will mount and configure camera hardware, troubleshoot on-site, and maintain installation records. A valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Proven Field Service Technician experience in a relevant field.
• Strong technical troubleshooting and hardware/software issue resolution.
• Proficiency with power tools and installation equipment.
• Physical stamina to work nights, weekends and long shifts.
• Detail-oriented with strong quality adherence.
• Excellent time management and ability to meet deadlines.
• Effective communication with supervisors, team and customers.
• Valid UK driving licence and reliable transport to sites.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites as required.
• Ability to work nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Installation of camera hardware: mounting, connecting and configuring in accordance with company standards.
• Respond promptly to installation requests and ensure customer SLAs are met.
• Maintain accurate records of installation activities, parts used, and time spent.
• Onboarding/scanning products into the system.
• Operate power tools safely and efficiently to complete installations.
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines during installation visits.
• Work collaboratively with team members to ensure timely completion of installations.
• Maintain a high level of attention to detail to meet quality standards.
• Meet or exceed speed and quality KPIs consistently.
• Communicate updates to supervisors and team members on progress and challenges.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times.
