Job summary

Stonepillow is seeking Night Hostel Support Workers for our Bognor and Chichester Hostel locations. Hours run 8pm-8am, with sleeping hours from 11pm-6am. You may be woken for emergencies but remain on duty throughout the shift.

You will be part of a night concierge team and support homeless adults with complex needs, signposting to services that improve housing, health, and wellbeing. You will work to build trust, motivate clients, and provide trauma-informed, person-centred support, delivering

Qualifications

• Experience working with homeless or vulnerable adults.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Welfare checks on clients and basic wellbeing support.
• Conduct risk assessments and undertake case management reviews.
• Engage with clients to improve outcomes while maintaining clear boundaries.
• Support clients to prepare for independent living, including housing, health and life skills.
• Record incidents and safeguarding concerns; de-escalate disputes or emergencies.
• Complete accurate support notes and maintain up-to-date records.
