Job summary

Focal Systems is seeking a Field Service Team Lead to oversee installations across UK sites, primarily overnight. You will lead a small team of technicians, install camera hardware, perform site checks, and ensure quality and safety standards while meeting KPIs.

The role is a fixed-term 6-month contract (30 hours/week) with potential extension; travel to customer sites is required and a valid UK driving licence is essential.

Qualifications

• Proven Field Service Technician Experience in field service, installation, construction, or related field.
• Demonstrated leadership to guide a small team under time pressures.
• Strong technical aptitude with hardware and software troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate a team of Field Service Technicians on site, allocating tasks and ensuring installations run to plan and schedule.
• Install camera hardware: mount, connect and configure per company standards; supervise the team doing the same.
• Conduct pre-installation site checks and briefings to identify and address potential issues.
• Act as primary on-site customer contact, escalating and resolving issues to meet SLAs.
• Review and sign off on completed installations to ensure quality standards before handover.
• Maintain accurate records of installation activities across the team using company tools.
• Onboard/scanning products into the system and lead night installations as required.
• Operate power tools safely and ensure the team does the same; enforce safety protocols.
