Job summary

Focal Systems is seeking a Field Service Technician to perform installations across the UK, primarily at customer sites. The role requires overnight work, a valid UK driving licence, and physical stamina to install, deploy and adopt our retail OS.

The position is a fixed-term contract for 6 months, with a minimum of 20 hours per week, and a drive to meet safety and quality KPIs while collaborating with a dedicated team.

Qualifications

• Proven field service experience in installations or related areas.
• Strong technical aptitude with ability to diagnose hardware/software issues.
• Proficiency with power tools and installation equipment.
• Physical stamina to work up to 9 hours on site.
• Excellent attention to detail to meet specifications.
• Able to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
• Effective communication with supervisors, team, and customers.

Responsibilities

• Install camera hardware: mounting, connecting and configuring per standards.
• Respond promptly to installation requests and meet customer SLAs.
• Maintain records of installation activities, parts used, and time spent.
• Onboard/scanning products into the system.
• Operate power tools safely and efficiently for installations.
• Adhere to safety protocols during visits.
• Collaborate with team to ensure timely installations.
• Maintain high quality in installation tasks.
• Meet or exceed KPIs for speed and quality.
• Provide progress updates to supervisors and team.
