Job summary

Focal Systems is expanding its UK operations and seeks a dedicated Field Service Technician to install our camera hardware at customer sites, often overnight. The role involves traveling to sites, completing installations, and ensuring quality and speed KPIs are met.

This is a 6-month fixed-term contract, part-time 20 hours per week, with potential extension. Night shifts and travel are required, and a valid UK driving licence is essential.

Qualifications

• Proven field service experience in installation or related roles.
• Strong technical troubleshooting skills for hardware and software.
• Proficient with power tools and installation equipment.
• Physical stamina to work up to 9 hours.
• Detail-oriented with ability to meet quality standards.
• Ability to work nights and weekends.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transport to travel to sites.

Responsibilities

• Install camera hardware, mount, connect and configure per standards.
• Respond to installation requests and meet customer SLAs.
• Maintain records of installation activities and parts used.
• Onboard/scanning products into the system.
• Operate power tools safely during installations.
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines.
• Collaborate with team to complete installations on time.
• Provide progress updates to supervisors and customers.
• Follow company policies at all times.
