Job summary

Tameside and Glossop Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an Outpatients Reception Supervisor (Band 4) for a 37.5 hour, permanent role. The post holder will lead the reception team, ensure a high-quality patient-facing service and manage day-to-day operations across seven days with early to late shifts.

The role requires strong computer literacy, leadership and communication skills, and a proactive approach to service delivery within outpatient services.

Qualifications

• Experience in administration or team leadership in outpatient or similar setting.
• Proficient use of patient administration systems and rostering tools.
• Able to lead a reception team and manage performance.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day supervision and line management of the Outpatient Reception Team.
• Conducting appraisals, one-to-ones, probation reviews and performance discussions.
• Managing attendance and wellbeing processes, including return-to-work interviews.
• Supporting recruitment, induction, training and development of staff.
• Producing staff rotas using HealthRoster to ensure safe staffing levels.
• Monitoring service performance and contributing to RTT and cancer pathway targets.
• Investigating and resolving operational and staffing issues as needed.
