Job summary

Salt is seeking a Sales Development Representative to drive new business through phone-first outbound prospecting. You will engage risk, compliance and operations decision-makers to generate qualified opportunities for the Sales team.

Responsibilities include high-volume outbound calling, researching target accounts, and booking multiple qualified appointments weekly. You’ll operate in a remote, national UK setting with KPI-driven targets and CRM logging in HubSpot.

Qualifications

• Experience in outbound sales or telemarketing is advantageous.
• Ability to build relationships and ask the right questions over calls.
• Strong still-to-close attitude with target-driven mindset.

Responsibilities

• Make 100-150 targeted outbound calls per day and handle objections professionally.
• Engage prospects to understand needs and identify opportunities against qualification criteria.
• Book at least four qualified appointments per week for the Sales team.
• Research target businesses and decision-makers to personalise outreach.
• Support campaigns targeting specific industries and market developments.
• Maintain accurate prospect records and log activities in the CRM.
• Provide clear notes to the Sales team to aid follow-up and progression of opportunities.
• Own daily activity, pipeline contribution and appointment targets.
