Job description
Overview

To deliver an effective and competent level of receptionist and/or clerical support and consistently deliver a "client-focused" service which promotes good customer service and effective working relationships.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare orthotic clinic sheets, patient information sheets and orthoses ensuring all are accurate.
  • Provide reception service for patients that is efficient and welcoming.
  • Make appointments for patients to attend the orthotic clinics, cancel and re-book clinics as the need arises and arrange their transport when appropriate.
  • Add, amend and retrieve information on the computerised patient management and orthotic ordering systems accurately.
  • Make prescription charges, issue receipts or note proof of exemption from such charges where appropriate.
  • Demonstrate a significant level of initiative in organising workload and that of others and in taking decisions and action within clearly defined limits.
