Qualifications

• Practical working knowledge of adult and paediatric refraction.
• Practical working knowledge of fitting rigid and soft contact lenses.
• Practical and theoretical knowledge of low vision aids.
• Able to work independently upon own initiative.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Gain experience and develop skills during a two year fixed contract.
• Assist in the delivery of core optometric services.
• Develop skills in enhanced clinics under supervision.
• Undertake delegated administrative responsibilities.
• Examine and manage patients in a range of optometric clinics.
