Job summary

Specsavers Reigate is seeking an Optical Assistant to warmly welcome customers and help them find the right optical solutions. You’ll work with our team to support eye-care and hearing services within a friendly, customer-focused store.

We offer extensive training and development, a collaborative environment, and a range of employee perks. 40 hours per week, weekends included, with no late nights in this role.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-paced customer service environment.
• Experience in optics or Audiology business.
• Basic knowledge/experience of optical and/or Audiology terminology.

• Welcome and help customers as they walk through our doors.
• Support eye-care and hearing services provided by Specsavers.
• Collaborate with the opticians, dispensing professionals and retail team to deliver excellent service.

The store offers eye examinations, sight tests, contact lens consultations and fittings, as well as the dispensing and fitting of glasses and sunglasses. The team also provides hearing tests and hearing-care services, combining professional clinical expertise with friendly, personalised customer service to help customers find the right solutions for their individual needs. Our team The Reigate team is a close-knit, friendly, and highly skilled group of optical and retail professionals who take pride in delivering exceptional service to every customer. With experienced Optometrists, dedicated Dispensing professionals, and a supportive retail team, the store offers a collaborative environment where everyone works together to provide the best possible care. This includes:

• Previous experience in a fast-paced customer service environment
• Experience in optics or Audiology business
• Basic knowledge/experience of optical and/or Audiology terminology.
  Up to £26,000 - £29,000 per annum, dependent on experience and optical qualification
• 40 hours per week, to include working weekends
• No late nights
