Job summary

Specsavers Hailsham is seeking an Optical Assistant to warmly welcome customers and assist with their optical needs. The role offers extensive training and development across optical and hearing services, with support from experienced Opticians and Technicians.

We look for caring, proactive individuals with some optical experience who can work in a busy retail environment and help customers find the right products and solutions.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a fast-paced customer service environment.
• Experience in optics or Audiology business.
• Basic knowledge/experience of optical and/or Audiology terminology.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and assist customers with a friendly, helpful approach.
• Support dispensing and fitting of glasses and sunglasses where applicable.
• Contribute to a team-focused store environment with training and development opportunities.

The store offers comprehensive eye examinations, sight tests, contact lens consultations and fittings, as well as the dispensing and fitting of glasses and sunglasses. The team also provides hearing tests and hearing-care services, combining clinical expertise with friendly, personalised customer service to help customers find the right products and solutions for their individual needs.
