St. James’s Place is seeking a Manager Operations Support to lead a nationally distributed Operations Support Team that keeps multiple locations running smoothly.

You will provide operational and administrative coordination to business leadership groups and shape how teams work, improving processes and delivery across the UK. This mid-senior role emphasizes people leadership, managing location operations, and delivering against SLAs.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a distributed operations team and coordinating across locations.
• Proven ability to manage change initiatives and process improvements.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience in financial services or regulated environments is preferred.
• Excellent planning and organisational capabilities with prioritisation.

Responsibilities

• Set priorities to support business objectives.
• Ensure SLA’s are achieved across location-related tasks (e.g., switchboard) and admin support.
• Manage resources to maintain operational continuity across locations.
• Oversee staffing budgets, monitoring, reconciliation and forecasting.
• Lead team meetings and business updates to foster trust and collaboration.
• Drive continuous improvement to enhance partner and client experience.
• Communicate changes effectively and support delivery across teams.
• Ensure processes and procedures are current, reviewed, and effective.
• Lead performance reviews and support development Planning.
• Coach and mentor colleagues across the wider community.
• Demonstrate experienced people management and team performance.
• Lead operational change, projects, or continuous improvement initiatives.
• Oversee multi-location operational delivery and SLAs.
