St. James’s Place Partner Practice in North London is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead day-to-day operations, drive efficiencies, and support strategic growth.

You will work closely with the Principal to enhance systems, oversee client service, and manage cross-functional teams in a fast-growing wealth management environment. The role requires pro-active leadership, strong communication, and a commercial mindset.

Qualifications

• Experience in wealth management/financial planning operations.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Proven ability to lead teams and drive process improvements.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership and Business Growth: Develop business strategies with the Principal and monitor KPIs across key metrics.
• Practice Operations and Technology: Oversee daily operations, systems, IT and facilities; drive continuous improvement.
• Financial Management: Support cash flow, invoicing, payments and payroll processes; coordinate with accountants.
• Compliance and Client Service: Ensure regulatory and client documentation controls; maintain data accuracy.
• Adviser and Team Performance: Manage paraplanning and admin teams; monitor delivery and quality.
• HR and People Management: Support recruitment, onboarding, and staff development; manage leave and HR records.
• Team Leadership and Business Development: Build client relationships and represent the practice at events.
