Job summary

DHS, part of the Wolseley Group, is hiring an Operations Supervisor for the St. Sampsons branch.

You will drive day-to-day service in the warehouse, lead a team of Operations Assistants and Drivers, and ensure on-time, in-full delivery while delivering excellent customer service. We value experience in plumbing/heating products, proven supervisory skills, and the ability to share information and solve problems with peers and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Previous industry or merchant experience and knowledge in plumbing/heating products.
• Previous experience as a supervisor working well with others towards a common goal through sharing clear targets and feedback.
• The ability to effectively share and receive information with peers, teams, and key stakeholders.
• The ability to proactively identify and propose solutions to operational and people issues before, or as, they arise.
• To be a team player who is happy to take on a diverse role to carry out all jobs in the branch to ensure it runs smoothly.
• Keenness to learn, with a positive and enthusiastic attitude and a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Driving service on a day to day basis within the warehouse environment in the branch.
• Achieving operational excellence, minimising costs, ensuring on time and in full delivery and providing outstanding customer service.
• Leading your team of Operations Assistants and Drivers, inspiring them to focus on providing exemplary customer service and drive activity within the team to deliver upon all branch KPIs and targets.
• Building excellent working relationships with the wider team within the branch to ensure that all colleagues are able to support in ensuring that business development opportunities are identified and converted.
• Instilling a culture of high standards, quality and safety.
