Job summary

Wolseley UK Limited in Guernsey is seeking an Operations Supervisor based in St. Sampsons to lead the warehouse team, drive day-to-day operations, and ensure on-time delivery while delivering excellent customer service.

The role is full-time (40 hours/week) with development opportunities and a strong benefits package including a competitive salary, bonus potential and pensions. You'll work as part of DHS within a major UK plumbing/heating distribution group.

Qualifications

• Prior supervisory experience in a warehouse/merchant environment.
• Knowledge of plumbing/heating products.
• Ability to communicate clearly with peers and stakeholders.
• Proactive mindset to identify and solve operational issues.

Responsibilities

• Driving service on a day to day basis within the warehouse environment in the branch.
• Achieving operational excellence, minimising costs, ensuring on time and in full delivery and providing outstanding customer service.
• Leading your team of Operations Assistants and Drivers, inspiring them to focus on providing exemplary customer service and drive activity within the team to deliver upon all branch KPIs and targets.
• Building excellent working relationships with the wider team within the branch to ensure that all colleagues are able to support in ensuring that business development opportunities are identified and converted.
• Instilling a culture of high standards, quality and safety.
