Our Shift Manager will proactively manage daily operations, with responsibility for delivering safety, cost, quality, compliance, and people KPIs—aligned with company, legal, and airline standards. The role involves maintaining an effective and productive team focused on results and developing strong customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities of a Shift Manager:
- Maintain high standards in quality, food safety, HACCP, and Health & Safety.
- Investigate all accidents, incidents, and delays to identify root causes and implement solutions to prevent recurrence.
- Ensure work is completed according to daily schedules, costs are within targets, and escalate issues to the Operations Manager when necessary.
- Collaborate with Shift Supervisors to manage rosters, schedules, and team effectiveness fairly and transparently.
- Manage material and product costs within budget and deadlines.
- Manage targets and demonstrate their impact on business performance; champion change initiatives and improvements with OPS Ex.
- Ensure customer service standards are met and communicate proactively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Adhere to legislation, company policies, and compliance standards.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and training to the team; handle employee relations issues per company policy.
What do we need from you?
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Experience in people management, including performance issues, holidays, rosters, and absence management.
- Experience in fast-paced environments such as manufacturing, logistics, or FMCG.
- Understanding of cost and control management.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organizational skills and flexibility.
