Job description

Position: Production Shift Manager

Location: Thame

Rate: As per market

The Role

1. Manage around 40 operatives in production, assembly, and testing, alongside two Team Leaders reporting directly to you. Responsibilities include:
2. Ensuring your team meets the production plan.
3. Monitoring output, operational resources, and overtime requirements.
4. Supporting and providing solutions to overcome issues, and continuously improving processes.
5. Investigating NCRs and ensuring consistent product quality.
6. Developing your team through skills training plans.
7. Ensuring adherence to H&S standards.
8. Managing MRP / ERP systems.

The Candidate

1. At least 3 years of experience in a relevant production coordination or management role within a manufacturing environment.
2. Proven experience in developing teams and implementing skills training matrices.
3. Experience in monitoring and implementing H&S practices.
4. Understanding of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
5. Preferred (but not essential) experience in moulding/plastics and assembly processes.
6. Preferred (but not essential) experience or qualifications in electrical engineering.

Hours

Backshift: Monday to Thursday 14:30 - 23:00 / Friday 11:00 - 16:00
