A forward-thinking financial company in Greater London is searching for an Operations Manager for Special Projects. This role involves directly supporting the COO in launching operations in new markets and managing complex projects across the organization. The ideal candidate will have 4 to 6 years of relevant experience, strong judgment, and the ability to navigate intricate stakeholder relationships. This is a unique opportunity to shape the trajectory of the company while gaining breadth in operational and strategic skills.
We're building something exceptional at Heritage, and we need someone extraordinary to help us get there. This isn't your typical operations role; it's a unique opportunity to work directly with our COO on the most critical projects shaping our future.
As our Operations Manager for Special Projects, you'll be the right hand to Mike, our COO leader, working on everything from supporting our investment arm to building entirely new business operations from the ground up. Think of this as a role where no two days are the same, where you'll touch everything from high-stakes custodian bank relationships to the nitty-gritty of setting up operations in new markets.
Right now, we're in the middle of establishing new country operations, and you'll be at the center of it all. This means orchestrating complex, multi-faceted launches that touch every aspect of the business and you'll own the execution from start to finish.
For new country setups, you'll be working on everything from:
Beyond expansion projects, you'll support our regulatory setup, manage critical relationships with custodian banks (where your judgment and professional presence will be essential), and provide flexible support across our Addepar initiatives. These are all high-impact projects that directly drive our business forward.
We're looking for someone smart and exceptionally hard-working, the kind of person who's maybe felt a bit too constrained in their current environment. Perhaps you're at a Big 4 firm like KPMG or EY, and while you've learned a ton, you're ready to do more than advise you want to build and execute. Or maybe you come from the fintech or payments world, where you've worked in operations, strategy, or business operations and know how to navigate complexity.
The ideal candidate has:
This isn't about checking boxes or climbing a traditional corporate ladder. It's about being in the room where decisions are made and working on projects that directly shape our company's trajectory.
We'll start with an initial conversation with our HR team to understand your experience, what drives you, and whether this opportunity aligns with what you're looking for. We'll focus on:
From there, we'll move quickly; we know great talent doesn't stay on the market long.
At Heritage, we are proud to have a diverse team representing over 15 nationalities, with all communication conducted in English. We are deeply committed to providing equal opportunities and work actively to remove potential biases in our hiring process by involving a Hiring Committee in all decision‑making.
