Job summary

Lochgreen House Hotel & Spa, part of RAD Hotel Group, seeks an experienced Operations Manager to lead day-to-day hotel operations and drive guest experiences to the highest standard.

You will report to the Director of Operations and work closely with company directors to deliver exceptional service, commercial performance, and a culture of excellence across all departments.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a senior operational management role within a quality hotel or hospitality business.
• Hands-on leader who is operationally involved and visible within the business.
• Strong leadership to inspire, motivate and develop teams.
• Commercial awareness with budgets, labour controls and performance management.
• Excellent communication, organisation and decision-making skills.
• Calm and effective under pressure; problem solver.
• Passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences and memorable stays.
• Experience overseeing multiple ops departments in a hotel.

Responsibilities

• Act as senior operational leader on site, responsible for day-to-day hotel operations.
• Maintain visible presence across all departments and support teams as needed.
• Coach and develop departmental managers and colleagues for high performance.
• Drive high guest service standards across accommodation, F&B, spa, events and other operations.
• Own operational performance, meet financial targets and labour budgets.
• Monitor guest feedback and online reviews and implement improvements.
• Ensure presentation, cleanliness, compliance, health and safety, and operational excellence.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiencies, maximise sales and profitability.
• Manage staffing levels and resources to meet business demands with excellent service.
• Lead by example during peak service periods with hands-on support.

Lochgreen House Hotel & Spa is entering an exciting new chapter as the newest addition to the RAD Hotel Group. We are seeking an experienced, passionate, and hands‑on Operations Manager to lead the day-to-day operation of the hotel.

As the most senior leader on site, you will report directly to the Director of Operations and work closely with the wider company directors to deliver exceptional guest experiences, drive commercial performance, and lead our teams with confidence and professionalism.

This is not a desk-based management role. We are looking for someone who leads from the front, is visible throughout the business, and is prepared to support every department whenever required. From food & beverage to accommodation, events, spa operations and guest service, you will set the standard through your own example while developing a culture of excellence across the hotel.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Acting as the senior operational leader on site, taking full responsibility for the day-to-day running of the hotel.
• Leading from the front by maintaining a visible presence across all departments and supporting operational teams wherever the business requires.
• Inspiring, coaching, and developing departmental managers and colleagues to create a high-performing, guest-focused culture.
• Driving exceptional standards of guest service across accommodation, food & beverage, spa, weddings, events, and all other hotel operations.
• Taking ownership of operational performance, ensuring delivery against financial targets, labour budgets, service standards, and guest satisfaction.
• Monitoring guest feedback and online reviews, implementing improvements to continually enhance the guest experience.
• Ensuring the hotel consistently achieves the highest standards of presentation, cleanliness, compliance, health & safety, and operational excellence.
• Supporting revenue growth by identifying opportunities to improve efficiencies, maximise sales, and enhance profitability.
• Managing staffing levels and operational resources to meet business demands while maintaining excellent service standards.
• Leading by example during busy service periods, providing hands-on operational support wherever needed.
