Job summary

RAD Hotel Group in Cumnock is seeking an experienced HR Advisor to join our Head Office HR team. This full-time role supports managers and employees across the Group, delivering practical HR advice and a consistent, professional people experience.

Based at our Head Office with regular travel to hotels, you will guide managers through absence, performance and employee relations, develop HR policies, and help drive people initiatives across our multi-site hospitality business.

Qualifications

  • Experience in an HR Advisor or generalist HR role.
  • Solid knowledge of UK employment legislation and HR best practice.
  • Experience supporting employee relations: absence, disciplinary, grievance, capability, and performance management.
  • Confident advising and coaching managers at different levels.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with strong relationship-building.
  • Practical, solutions-focused approach to HR.
  • Strong organisational skills and high confidentiality.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across hotel locations.

Responsibilities

  • Providing practical and professional HR advice and guidance to managers across the Group.
  • Supporting managers with employee relations matters including absence, conduct, capability, performance, and grievances.
  • Guiding managers through HR processes, ensuring fair, consistent handling per policies and legislation.
  • Attending and supporting formal employee meetings when required.
  • Supporting absence management and helping managers manage short and long-term absence.
  • Advising and coaching managers on effective people management and HR best practice.
  • Supporting onboarding, probationary reviews, performance management, and development.
  • Reviewing HR documentation, correspondence, and employee records.
  • Supporting development, implementation, and review of HR policies and procedures.
  • Building strong relationships with General Managers and management teams across hotels.
  • Providing on-site HR support and maintaining a visible HR presence across the Group.
  • Monitoring HR activity and producing reports and KPI data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Ensuring employee records and HR systems are accurate and maintained to a high standard.
  • Supporting succession planning and opportunities for internal progression.
  • Supporting learning and development initiatives to upskill teams.
  • Supporting organisational change and HR projects across the Group.
  • Collaborating with the wider HR team to improve HR processes and the employee experience.

We're looking for an experienced, approachable, and proactive HR Advisor to join our Head Office HR team. This is an exciting opportunity for an HR professional to play a key role in supporting managers and employees across the Group, providing practical HR advice and helping to deliver a consistent and professional people experience across our hotels.

Based at our Head Office in Cumnock, the role involves regular travel to our hotels, working closely with General Managers and department managers to provide hands‑on HR support across all areas of the employee lifecycle.

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Providing practical and professional HR advice and guidance to managers across the Group.
  • Supporting managers with employee relations matters including absence, conduct, capability, performance, and grievances.
  • Guiding managers through HR processes, ensuring matters are handled fairly, consistently, and in line with company policies and employment legislation.

What We're Looking For:
  • Previous experience in an HR Advisor or similar generalist HR role.
  • Good working knowledge of UK employment legislation and HR best practice.
  • Experience supporting employee relations matters including absence, disciplinary, grievance, capability, and performance management.
  • Confidence advising and coaching managers at different levels.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong working relationships.
  • A practical, solutions-focused approach to HR.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
  • CIPD qualification or working towards a CIPD qualification is advantageous.
  • Previous experience within hospitality or another fast‑paced, multi‑site environment is advantageous but not essential.
  • A full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel across our hotel locations.
