We’re looking for an experienced and motivated Duty Manager to join the team at Lochgreen House Hotel & Spa. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the next chapter of this much-loved Ayrshire hotel, supporting the smooth running of the property and ensuring an exceptional experience for every guest. You’ll be a key point of contact for guests and colleagues, leading the team on shift, resolving issues and maintaining high standards across the hotel.

What You’ll Be Doing:
- Take responsibility for the smooth operation of the hotel during your shift.
- Lead and support the team across all departments, ensuring clear communication and high service standards.
- Act as a key guest contact, handling enquiries, requests and complaints professionally.
- Carry out regular checks to maintain standards of cleanliness, presentation, service and safety.
- Work with department managers to ensure the hotel operates efficiently.
- Support weddings, conferences, functions and other events, maintaining a high standard of guest experience.
- Handle cash and financial procedures accurately, including end-of-shift checks and reporting.
- Ensure compliance with hotel policies, licensing, health and safety and company standards.
- Respond quickly to operational issues and use initiative to resolve them.
- Support colleagues across departments during busy periods.
- Complete handovers and communicate key operational and guest information to management.
- Help maintain a positive, professional and welcoming environment for guests and colleagues.
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous supervisory or management experience within a hotel, hospitality or food and beverage environment.
- Experience within conference and banqueting or events would be beneficial.
- A genuine passion for delivering exceptional guest service and creating positive experiences.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and support a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to deal with guests, colleagues and management at all levels.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- The ability to remain calm under pressure, prioritise effectively and make confident decisions.
- A positive, professional and diplomatic approach.
- A hands-on attitude and willingness to support wherever needed.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends, evenings and holidays.
