Job summary

Adler & Allan is seeking an organised Operations Coordinator for our Shaftesbury site to manage waste movements, bookings and day-to-day operational support. You will liaise with drivers and customers to ensure smooth operations and compliance across our transport fleet.

The role requires accuracy in records and enthusiasm to learn, with the ability to work both independently and within a team in a busy environment.

Qualifications

• Good literacy and numeracy for handling paperwork.
• Confident, friendly telephone manner with strong customer service skills.
• Clear communication with drivers, yard teams and colleagues.
• Willingness to learn and grow.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate inbound and outbound waste bookings, including schedules and documentation.
• Manage customer, supplier and internal enquiries, providing day to day operational support.
• Maintain records, databases, schedules and purchase orders.
• Support daily load planning, waste collections, stock management and processing requirements.
• Monitor driver and transport compliance, including working time and Digital Tacho Card downloads.
• Coordinate vehicle defect reporting, maintenance and inspections to keep fleet compliant.
