Job summary

Real World Services Limited in Weymouth is seeking an Assistant Operations Manager to join our management team. You will support the Operations Manager, coordinate site operations and staff across multiple contracts, and act as a main contact for clients and teams.

The role requires leadership, calm decision-making, and a hands-on approach. Flexibility for full-time or part-time work, with some out-of-hours cover, is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in a supervisory, management or operational coordination role.
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Confidence managing people and dealing with different personalities.
• A calm, practical and solutions-focused approach.
• Ability to prioritise workloads and work independently.
• Good administrative and IT skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Willingness to obtain an appropriate SIA licence if not held.
• Experience in security, facilities management or similar
• Experience with staff rostering, scheduling and multi-location management

Responsibilities

• Support the Operations Manager in overseeing daily operations across multiple sites and contracts.
• Coordinate security personnel, including shift planning, scheduling and operational cover.
• Act as a point of contact for staff, clients and operational teams.
• Respond to operational issues, resolve problems and make sound decisions when required.
• Support the management, supervision and performance of operational staff.
• Assist with general administration, reporting and operational record-keeping.
• Attend client sites, meetings and operational visits when necessary.
• Provide management cover during periods of absence and support out-of-hours operational requirements on an agreed rota.
• Help ensure the business continues to deliver a professional, reliable and responsive service.
