An innovative event agency in London is seeking a proactive and enthusiastic individual to join their dynamic team. REPORTS TO: SENIOR EVENT AND OPERATIONS MANAGER
THE ROLE
This is a split role, focusing on the operations and exhibitor management of our highly respected, creative, boutique Shows; London Summer Event Show and London Christmas Party Show, as well as having organisational and operational responsibilities for the wider company and office.
We're looking for a proactive, enthusiastic and level-headed individual with an interest or some experience in event operations and/or office management/administration, who is eager to learn and grow within the fast-paced events industry.
The role will require you to work collaboratively with the wider team, external suppliers and our clients, so interpersonal skills will be essential to build these relationships. With a passion for the industry and a keen eye for detail, you’ll take ownership of multiple tasks and be an integral part of the Story team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Core responsibilities include:
- Overseeing the exhibitor management process, from contract stage through to onsite delivery. Being the main point of contact for exhibitors, ensuring they are fully supported throughout, addressing any issues or queries promptly.
- Maintaining strong relationships with key suppliers and regularly checking in to ensure all logistical requirements and deadlines are met.
- Working with spreadsheets (both excel and Google sheets), Word and Outlook email systems in order to communicate and organise tasks
- Creative input into exhibition themes and content, working on Canva with some elements of design.
- Supporting the team from an administrative point of view including sourcing items, booking couriers & crew, database admin, event packing, creating presentations etc.
- Researching new suppliers to keep the Show fresh and up to date with the industry.
- Assisting the wider Operations team with client events, from preparation to assisting onsite.
- Providing regular detailed updates to your line manager and core team with progress of current tasks and goals.
- Ensuring that all online filing is up to date across multiple back-office systems.
- Keeping event equipment, theming items and other event kit organised and replenished when required
- Office management tasks to help maintain an organised and efficient working environment including office upkeep and IT support.
- Joining the Office Social Committee to organise office socials and seasonal office treats.
ABOUT YOU

- Previous experience in event or office management.
- Ability to take initiative and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Great interpersonal skills and a natural ability to build and maintain relationships.
- Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
- Experience in working well under pressure when needed and adhering to deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to develop effective solutions.
- A positive, can-do attitude and a passion for working within a small, close-knit team.
