Job summary

Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) is seeking an Operational Management Information Developer to shape services using data and insight for millions of UK customers. You’ll contribute within the Working Age Data and Performance Team, delivering analytics and performance reporting that drives continuous improvement across Working Age services.

You will build high-quality MI, dashboards and analytical products using Power BI and SQL, turning complex data into meaningful insights to support

Qualifications

• Strong analytical skills to interpret complex operational data.
• Proven leadership to collaborate with stakeholders and drive data-led outcomes.
• Experience leading change and service improvement from concept to delivery.
• Strong decision-making with evidence-based recommendations from data.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, presenting findings to senior leaders.
• Experience using SQL, Git, and Power BI for data analysis and visualization.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-quality management information, dashboards and analytical products using Power BI and SQL.
• Identify trends, measure performance and uncover opportunities to improve service delivery across Universal Credit and Labour Market services.
• Lead analytical projects and communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Collaborate with operational colleagues, digital teams and senior stakeholders, including Directors and Ministers, influencing decisions through evidence-based analysis.
• Support strategic decision making by transforming data into actionable insights.
