Job summary

ECS Resource Group Ltd is seeking a Deskside Support Engineer in Manchester to provide hands-on, onsite end-user support and resolve issues that cannot be solved remotely.

You will manage Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365, AD accounts, and hardware deployments while delivering excellent customer service and clear communication with users. This role is onsite in Manchester with standard IT support responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Experience in Deskside/2nd Line support.
• Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11 and Microsoft 365.
• Experience with imaging, deployment and hardware support.
• Active Directory administration experience.
• Knowledge of Defender, antivirus and endpoint security.
• Basic networking and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with ITSM platforms (e.g., ServiceNow).
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite support for Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365, Outlook, and Teams.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, peripheral, and user issues.
• Build, image, configure, and deploy laptops, desktops, and mobile devices.
• Support hardware refreshes, device rollouts, and new starter setups.
• Manage Active Directory accounts, password resets, and user administration.
• Troubleshoot printers, AV equipment, meeting room tech, and basic network issues.
• Update and manage tickets through ITSM system with clear user communication.
• Support endpoint security tools including Microsoft Defender and antivirus.
